Windsor Castle The largest occupied castle in the world. Explore the rooms and grounds of the royal residence which comprises of three wards, the 1st being the 12th century Round Tower in the middle ward, the 2nd the upper half built by George VI in 1828 and the third contains St Georges Chapel. Runnymede National Trust North Lodge, Windsor Road, Old Windsor - Situated two miles north west of Egham, between Windsor Road and Tite Hill, it was here in 1215 that King John signed the Magna Carta which promised liberty for his subjects. The Magna Carta Memorial stands at the foot of Coopers Hill.
War Memorial At the top of Cooper Hill stands a memorial to the 20,456 Commonwealth airman of World War II who died with no known graves.
J F Kennedy Memorial Also nearby is a memorial made of Portland stone, which stands on an acre of land given to the people of USA by the people of Britain. This is a very peaceful area of broad water meadows beside the Thames, which flows between willow and reed fringed banks.

Savill Garden Approx 35 acres land Savill Garden is worth a visit between March - May when the rhododendrons and azaleas are at their best, although the garden has much to offer all year round including the Temperate House with all its rare plants. Tel: 01753 860222

Discovery Lookout Centre Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell. Adjoining 2,600 acres of Crown Estate Woodland with the Discovery Outpost boasting 70 hands-on exhibits which covers such themes as nature, light, colour and sound. There are also walks and trails (one to the Iron Age Fort) and mountain bikes are available for hire. There is also a gift shop, coffee shop and tourist information centre. Tel: 01344 354400
